APP’s Response to Greenpeace, Burning Issues: Five Years of Fire dated 22 October 2020

Greenpeace had offered APP an opportunity to share its point of view prior to the publication of the above article.  APP provided factual corrections as well as its opinion to Greenpeace on 5th October 2020.  APP also offered to engage in dialogue with Greenpeace to provide further clarifications and context around the issues raised in the report, which was not taken up.

Sumatran Tiger Found Ensnared in Arara Abadi Concession Area

We regret the death of an ensnared Sumatran Tiger found and reported by the local residents in the Gelombang District conservation area which forms part of Arara Abadi’s concession in Riau Province, Sumatra, on 18 May 2020. The initial finding indicate that the death of the tiger was caused by illegal poaching.

Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) announced that it is joining the Indonesia-Latin America and Caribbean (INA-LAC) Business Forum 2020, held between November 9 to 11th. The three-day virtual forum, hosted by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, is designed to further develop and strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Latin America, the Caribbean and Indonesia.

APP Sinar Mas Helps GroundFires in Riau’s Siak District

In line with its commitment to assist communities around its industrial timber estates, APP Sinar Mas Forestry deployed its helicopter to help fight ground fires that broke in an area outside of its concession in the Siak District of Riau province, one of its executives said Friday (14/2).

Toscotec received 8 machine order from APP

Toscotec has received in total 8 (eight) Tissue Machine order from APP. Two of the Tissue Machines are scheduled to come on stream in Q4 2017 and Q1 2018, respectively. In the meantime, the Italian supplier is manufacturing other 6 tissue machines which are planned for delivery between the Q3 2017 and the first half of 2018.
