What does it take to make a positive difference in the world? It can take the form of just about anything, but the end goal can make a big impact.
From a few minutes of volunteering to a large organized effort, the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life should not be taken for granted.
When we began a partnership with Staples, their leadership introduced us to a wonderful group of people at Starlight Children’s Foundation. Their mission? To improve the life and health of kids and families around the world.
During our discussion with Starlight, we learned they were dedicated to assisting children at healthcare facilities and pediatric hospitals in 11 countries and territories including Australia, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
We at Asia Pulp and Paper realized we had an opportunity. After a few calls, creative imagination and the dedication from our colleagues at one of our facilities, we were able to produce and donate 50,000 coloring books. The coloring books are currently being sent to kids at more than 580 children’s hospitals, clinics, camps, respite houses and other pediatric facilities.
What does it take to make a positive difference in the world? There are countless ways, but for us, right now, it’s wonderful to know one of our products is being utilized by the imaginations of these brave and brilliant kids.
