  2. What is the LoU?

    LoU stands for Letter of Undertaking. It is a commitment letter whereby the aspiring vendor gives its commitment to fulfill the requirements set out in the letter.

  3. I am an existing vendor. How can I further develop my relationship with APP Procurement?

    All our vendors are evaluated every six months. Those who have performed well in the evaluation period may be chosen as a partner and will be given priority in the procurement process.

  4. I am an existing vendor and I have recently received a document called "Vendor Evaluation Result", what is this?

    The "Vendor Evaluation Result" is a computer-generated assessment of a vendor’s performance based on predetermined criteria. The aim is to provide feedback to our vendors so as to strengthen our working relationship.

  5. What does APP Procurement look for in selecting vendors?

    APP selects vendors based on our assessment of their ability to supply goods and services that are of a high quality at a reasonable price. Timely and secure delivery and good after sales service are also expected.

  6. I am already a supplier to one of APP’s companies, do I need to apply as a new vendor to supply to another of APP’s companies?

    No. You do not need to apply again as a new vendor as all the information regarding our suppliers are consolidated and shared with all of our companies.

  7. Does every purchase have to go through a tender process?

    Yes, the tender process is our company’s standard procedure for procurement.

  8. How do I know if I have been successful in my tender?

    We will inform all tender participants of the result of the tender via e-mail and / or telephone.

  9. We have a fixed term contract which is expiring soon and we would like to continue to supply to APP. What should we do?

    Please contact the officer in charge of your account with APP and inquire about an extension or tendering for a new contract.

  11. What are the supplier’s commitments to be fulfilled as APP procurement partner?

    As APP’s partner in procurement process, vendor should:

    • Sign the LoU
    • Follow the tender’s provision and regulation
    • All Purchase Orders (POs) received should be countersigned and returned.
    • Contract agreement should be signed by the vendor who is successful in the tender.

  12. We frequently supply goods to APP on an ad hoc basis, can we become long-term suppliers?

    The goods you supplied are tracked and your performance history is analyzed. If our criterias are met, an invitation to participate in our tender process will be sent. The party who is successful at the tender may proceed to enter into a contract with APP on the terms and conditions acceptable to us.

  13. What are some of the mills under APP?

    At present, APP’s Procurement serves more than ten mills such as PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk., PT. Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills, PT. Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk., PT. Lontar Papyrus Pulp & Paper Industry, PT. Ekamas Fortuna, and other mills.
